Removal of Overhanging Tree Limbs is Property Owner Responsibility

The Freeman City Council reminds Freeman property owners of their responsibilities in regard to the removal of overhanging tree limbs that hinder visibility in the street right-of-way. In accordance with city ordinance 4.02 & ordinance 10.02, specifications are made for the purpose of improving vehicle & pedestrian safety on city streets & sidewalks. Overhanging tree branches must be trimmed by property owners to prevent obstructions in the visibility triangle. This visual provides additional clarification.
