Council Hires Edelman as Finance Officer

The Freeman City Council voted on Tuesday evening to name Lisa Edelman as municipal finance officer. Edelman brings seven years of previous experience as the City of Freeman’s finance officer, a role in which she served until 2016. Since that time, she has served the City of Menno in that capacity. Edelman will begin her duties in Freeman on May 9.

In other council action, Blaine Saarie and Tabitha Schoenwald were, respectively, elected to the positions of president & vice president of the council.
