City Operating on Water Reserves Nov. 11
The City of Freeman will be operating only on water reserves on Thurs., Nov. 11, as water lines are extended to West Fifth Street to bring water to the new Westward View Addition. While last week’s utility project focused on providing sewer services to this property closed Cedar Street for several days, there will be NO street closure & residents should NOT notice any disruption to water service. In the event that there is a lapse, be assured that the outage would be very brief. Also know that City Offices will closed on Thurs. in observance of Veterans Day & no one will be available to answer phones at City Hall.. Should any water problems be noted, City Street Superintendent Duane “Dewey” Walters asks that those reports come directly to him. Because we will be operating only on reserves, it’s also important that residents & businesses are conservative in their water use on Thursday so the reserves are not depleted in the event of an emergency.
