Upcoming Council Meeting to Take Place on Valentine’s Day

In order for a quorum of Freeman City Council members to be in attendance for the second regularly scheduled meeting of the council in February, the meeting date has been changed to Monday evening, February 14th (Valentine’s Day). The originally scheduled date was February 15. Meetings are held at City Hall & begin at 6:30 PM. The council agenda, documents, & livestream link will be posted in the “Government” section of this website in advance of the meeting.

As part of the evening’s agenda, the council is expected to award the bid for curb, gutter, & street surfacing in the Westward View Addition. The Westward View Addition is a collaborative project between the City of Freeman & the Freeman Community Development Corporation, with the land purchase made possible by the Freeman Growth Foundation. Additional site prep is yet to take place in advance of this next phase of development.

When completed, the Westward View Addition will add West Fifth Street, a cul-de-sac, & 18 generously-sized housing lots to the City of Freeman. A map of the lot layout, pricing, & covenants can be found in the “Business & Development” section of this website.
