Pool Closed Evening of July 13

Please note that the Freeman City Swimming Pool will be closed during the evening hours of Tuesday, July 13, for a private event that will take place from 6:30-8 PM. While in session on June 3, the Freeman City Council addressed requests to rent the public pool for private parties. Because the primary purpose of the swimming pool is to serve the public, it was determined that only limited rental opportunities be made available, with a number of requirements in place: 1) The pool can be rented out only during evening hours. 2) The pool will not be available for rental on Sunday evenings, a popular night for families when kids are able to bring floaties & pool toys. 3) A period of 2 weeks must be available for providing advance notice to pool patrons. 4) An hourly rental fee of $150 will be assessed.
