Municipal Bonds to Be Discussed in Special Session
The Freeman City Council will meet in special session on Tuesday, March 29, at 6:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the option of taking out a bond to assist in funding the Main Street reconstruction project. Attorneys Mike Fink & Todd Meierhenry will be in attendance to offer legal perspectives. The meeting will take place at City Hall & will also be livestreamed via a link posted in the “Government/Council Documents” section of this website. Golden West cable channel 90 will also carry the livestream.
Bids for the Main Street project were opened at City Hall on March 16, with Reede Construction of Aberdeen emerging as the apparent low bidder. The council has a 30 day window from that date in which to award the bid.
